Arrow Season 8: Cast Reacts to Final Season News

With the recent news that Arrow will end after Season 8, much of its cast has taken to social media to react to the news.

Lead actor Stephen Amell gave his thanks after playing the titular character for the better part of a decade.

David Ramsey, who has portrayed John Diggle, aka Spartan, since the first season, looked ahead to the eighth season, saying “Can’t wait to see what we have in stock for you.”

Katherine McNamara, who played Blackstar in Season 7, said “Keep watching – we are going to kick ass ‘till the bitter end.”

Wild Dog actor Rick Gonzalez also gave his thanks after playing the character since Season 5, saying “It’s our job to give you an amazing last 10 episodes.”

Madison McLaughlin, who portrayed Artemis beginning in Season 4, looked back fondly at her time on the show, saying “My time on arrow was always fun and supportive.”

Antonio Negret, who directed multiple episodes of the show, wrote “Arrow was one of the 1st TV shows I ever directed… it remains near and dear to my heart.”

Arsenal actor Colton Haynes gave his thanks to fans who “supported us along the way.”

Yesterday, it was announced that Arrow would be ending with a shortened Season 8, an announcement made by Amell’s Tweet posted above. The show will return for a 10 episode run this fall.
