WWE Mixed Match Challenge Gets Longer Runtime, 205 Live Likely to Lose Time, Streaming in More Countries

Season 2 of the Mixed Match Challenge begins premieres on on Tuesday, September 18th immediately following SmackDown Live. The premiere episode will feature two matches instead of the usual one, and this format will be the new norm going forward.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Mixed Match Challenge will move to 30 minutes instead of 20 minutes. This will push the 205 Live start time back to 10:30pm ET and will likely cut the cruiserweight show short.

MMC debuted on Facebook Live and will continue to stream on that platform. However, whereas season 1 streamed exclusively in the United States, season two will also stream in Germany, Mexico, Australia, France, Indonesia, Spain, Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam. The special series will run until December 16th when the finalist teams face off at Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV.
