As previously reported, WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle has announced two huge triple threat matches, with the winners facing off next week to determine which WWE Superstar will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

In the first of those two bouts, Roman Reigns scored a big victory over Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre to advance to next week’s final showdown. The match itself received rave reviews from fans watching at home, featuring some incredible spots like a monstrous spear through the barricade, Balor unleashing his inner demon with a steel chair, and each star narrowly missing victory in a series of close nearfalls.

At the very end of the match, before hitting the final spear that would put away Balor, Reigns was somehow busted open the hard way with a large cut above/around his left eye. He will be in action next week, facing the winner of a second triple threat match between Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Elias. We’ll have an update on that situation later on this evening.
