Jean-Louis Leca, 6 – Contributed two important stops, one from Bouanga at close range.
Facundo Medina, 4 – His indecision conspired to allow Khazri to poach an early opener.
Jonathan Gradit, 5
Christopher Wooh, 5 – Showed a lack of awareness to allow the ball to run away from him which eventually led to Kharzi’s early opener but rescued things with a key block from Bouanga’s close range rebound effort and was solid otherwise.
Deiver Machado, 5 – Played with hunger and intensity but tangible end produce was minimal overall.
Jonathan Clauss, 6 – His crossing was a little hit and miss again but a lovely centre for Ganago assisted Lens’ first.
Seko Fofana, 8 – Superb throughout with his drive and invention, seemingly playing the box-to-box and number ten roles simultaneously at times, while his powerful yet precise near post effort caught Green out for 2-2.
Cheick Doucouré, 6 – Covered a fair bit of ground with Fofana regularly pushing forward and still aided in some snappy interplay around the box.
Gaël Kakuta, 5 – An improvement on last week but was still far from ruthless in front of goal despite contributing to some sharp build up play.
Florian Sotoca, 4
Ignatius Ganago, 6 – Produced a stunning flicked header back across goal for 1-1 but only occasionally troubled the ASSE centre-backs otherwise.
Others: Ismaël Boura 5, David Costa 5, Simon Banza 5, Przemysław Frankowski 6, Corentin Jean 5.
SAINT-ÉTIENNE – 2 (Khazri 1′, Bouanga 52′)
Etienne Green, 6 – He will be disappointed to be beaten at his near post for the equaliser but made two flying stops late on to preserve the draw.
Yvann Maçon, 5
Harold Moukoudi, 5
Timothée Kolodziejczak, 5
Saïdou Sow, 4 – A slightly shaky display, especially before half time, and he was lucky one sliced clearance didn’t result in a goal.
Mahdi Camara, 6 – The captain was a commanding presence in midfield, especially in the first hour.
Zaydou Youssouf, 4 – A frustrating display overall, could have been more decisive in possession.
Yvan Neyou, 5
Denis Bouanga, 6 – Barely justifies a six despite crashing home an emphatic second following a rather sloppy display at times. His heavy first touch when left free in the six yard area with only Leca to beat at 2-1 might have cost his team the win.
Romain Hamouma, 3 – Wasteful in possession during the first half, squandering some good openings. Withdrawn at half time for Nordin.
Wahbi Khazri, 6 – Was alert to nip in and steal possession before slotting home inside the first 20 seconds for the opener and showed some typically skilful touches around the area.
Others: Lucas Gourna-Douath 5, Adil Aouchiche 5, Arnaud Nordin 4, Maxence Rivera 5, Bryan Djile Nokoue 5.
