Claudio Ranieri has officially been announced as the new manager of Nantes on a two-year-deal.
The Italian has been out of a job since February following his controversial sacking at Leicester after a huge downturn in form, but after winning an appeal over an LFP rule banning managers over the age of 65, Nantes will give Ranieri another way back into the game.
Ranieri will be forever remembered as the man who completed the impossible as he guided Leicester City to the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season, but has also had successful stints with Juventus, Fiorentina, Valencia and Chelsea.
Nantes finished 11th last season in Ligue 1 following the outstanding job done by Sergio Conceicao, but with the former Standard Liege boss moving on to Porto in Portugal, Ranieri will be looking to carry on the good work that was started last season.
