Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Hardcore Blackout Mode Is Now Live on PS4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Hardcore Blackout mode is now live on PS4 and features no HUD, armor, vehicles, or zombies.

Black Ops 4’s Hardcore Blackout mode on PS4 is part of its Shamrock & Awe event that is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and features other changes to Call of Duty’s first battle royale game mode.

In addition to the Spring Seasonal Map Update which included updated lighting, greenery, and springtime trees in bloom, Blackout players will also be able to find the Muscle Car and SUV, inspect weapons by pressing left on the d-pad, celebrate with Gestures and Callouts at the Victory Screen, and more.

This Shamrock & Awe event also brings with it personalization items, a seasonal twist on Fracture from Black Ops 3 called Stockpile which will have players killing their enemies and collecting and depositing their shamrocks in a pot of gold.

Zombies will also be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with green-eyed zombies and “a special new Easter Egg to discover at the end of the rainbow…” The Hellcatraz Gauntlet is also be available on PS4 and will challenge players to survive 30 rounds of challenges as the Primis crew.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which was the best-selling game of October 2018, has obviously been receiving a steady stream of updates since its launch last year, and while this entry didn’t feature a campaign mode, Activision has announced that Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty game will include one this year.
