Kickoff Show Match
The Viking Raiders vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows
Cole reminds us that Anderson and Gallows are not only former Raw tag team champions, but also former IWGP tag team champions, making a name for themselves in Japan. That doesn’t help them as big Ivar (Hanson) starts the match with a pair of giant splashes and takes Anderson to the mat. Erik (Rowe) tags in but The O.C. takes a few cheap shots from the apron, and proceeds to work him over for several minutes with quick, alternating tags.
Ivar eventually gets the hot tag and levels Anderson with a series of splashes and a running senton. He heads to the top rope and leaps over his opponent, instead taking down Gallows with a big clothesline. The big man crashes and burns on a corner cannonball, as The O.C. pull each other to safety. Erik is back and the Raiders work together to absolutely dismantle Gallows with powerful double-team moves.
Ivar delivers a nasty knee to the jaw of Anderson, before handspringing off the ropes to take out both opponents. He climbs to the second rope, but instead decides to go ALL the way to the top, which brings the crowd to their feet. Giant moonsault coming, but he takes a bit too much time and Anderson rolls out of the way. The O.C. deliver the Magic Killer, and it’s over.
Winners: The O.C.
A video package airs for the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. Ricochet match. Production forgot to cut the panel’s microphones until about halfway through, resulting in some unintended hilarity.
