The WWE Women’s Tag Team titles will be on the line on next Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

WWE has announced that Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler will defend their titles against Natalya & Tamina on SmackDown next Friday. Natalya & Tamina defeated Jax & Baszler in a non-title match on SmackDown last week.

On tonight’s Throwback edition of SmackDown, Tamina vs. Reginald ended in a disqualification when Jax pulled Reginald out of the ring and Baszler pushed Tamina off the top rope as Tamina was going for a splash. Jax and Baszler then laid out Tamina and Natalya after the match. Baszler stomped on Tamina’s elbow and Jax gave Tamina a Samoan Drop into the barricade.

At WrestleMania 37 last month, Natalya & Tamina unsuccessfully challenged for Jax & Baszler’s Women’s Tag Team titles. Natalya & Tamina won a number one contender’s Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania 37 night one but lost to Jax & Baszler at night two.

Jax & Baszler are two-time Women’s Tag Team Champions. Their current reign with the titles began when they defeated Charlotte Flair & Asuka on the Royal Rumble pre-show this January.

Jax & Baszler retained the Women’s Tag Team titles against Naomi & Lana on Raw earlier this week.

Next Friday’s SmackDown is the go-home show for WrestleMania Backlash.
