As noted recently, Chris Jericho is being advertised for the WWE live event in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 17th, which has led to speculation that he may appear in the WWE Royal Rumble match next year.
Jericho is expected to appear on many additional live events for the company in January, and it’s said that the two sides are negotiating on an official deal right now.
WWE officials are reportedly confident that they will reach a deal with Jericho, as they have told their marketing department that he will be working a full live event schedule in January and February.
The idea right now is that Jericho will be the “reverse Brock Lesnar,” in that he will work live events only, and not appear on television or pay-per-views. Of course, plans could always change, as he didn’t want to work the SmackDown taping during the recent WWE European tour that he was part of, but ended up doing so anyway.
Regarding WrestleMania 31 in March, while Jericho is not scheduled to appear on the pay-per-view, he technically would be able to as his current Fozzy European tour is scheduled to wrap up on March 21st.
