Fresh talks occurred yesterday between Lyon and Wolfsburg over the possible transfer of French attacker Maxwel Cornet, according to L’Équipe.

As of last week, the Bundesliga side had offered €19m plus a 30% sell-on percentage clause, which Lyon were ok with in principle, before youngster Amine Gouiri suffered a serious injury that will keep him out for the first half of the season.

OL hit pause on talks as a result, until yesterday, with the newspaper speculating that Lyon might have an attacker lined up to sign to replace Cornet.
