Amiens have successfully closed the signature of 18-year-old defensive midfielder Eliot Mbengi, who joins the Picardy side after a previous spell at Ligue 1 outfit Brest, according to L’Équipe.

This powerful defensive midfield talent began his youth career at Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien and has signed a youth contract with Bernard Joannin’s club.

He played for Brest’s U17s set-up before spending the last 12 months at Jeanne D’Arc de Drancy – he will integrate into ASC’s youth academy in the first instance, but is hoping to make a few appearances for their 1st team in 2020/21.
