AS Monaco have agreed a €10m fee (believed to be specifically €8m plus €2m in bonuses) with Rennes for 21-year-old forward Adama Diakhaby.

This deal has occurred despite intense interest from Lille and Newcastle for the player, as well as a recent attempt to offer the player a contract from Manchester City, who were shut down by the player’s entourage pretty quickly.

The Frenchman is specifically a choice on the part of Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim and will sign a 5-year contract next week.
