THE CISTERCIAN COLLEGE Roscrea side that claimed the Leinster senior schools rugby cup in 2015 did not lack players who made waves in GAA and that trend is continuing.

From that team Robert Wharton had won an All-Ireland minor football title with Kerry in 2014 and was part of the South Kerry setup that claimed the county senior football crown in 2015.

Roscrea native Alan Tynan played for Tipperary in the All-Ireland minor hurling and football deciders in 2015.
