Following the tapings for the New Year’s Day episode of WWE SmackDown Live, the WWE Championship match for the WWE Royal Rumble 2019 pay-per-view was made official.
A.J. Styles emerged victorious from a Fatal-5-Way Number One Contender’s Match at last night’s taping, which will air on the January 1st episode of the show, earning the next shot at WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.
The Styles-Bryan showdown is added to a card that also features Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship and more at the first WWE PPV of 2019.
