Reigns winning the IC Title has lead to speculation regarding his future heading into the Road to WrestleMania, but Dave Meltzer reiterated on Wrestling Observer Radio today that despite Reigns winning the IC Title, plans remain for The Big Dog to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 34.
Possible Cruiserweight Fatal Four Way Names
Kurt Angle announced last night on Raw that two Fatal Four Way matches will determine the next challenger to Enzo Amore’s WWE Cruiserweight Title. Rich Swann ended up winning the first of the two bouts, with the second bout taking place on Raw next week.
Dave Meltzer speculated on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE will likely have a heel win next week’s Fatal Four Way match, to set up the Rich Swann singles match which will take place on Raw in two weeks. Of the Cruiserweights available, it appears most likely next week’s Fatal Four way match will feature Drew Gulak vs Tony Nese vs Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali. Of those four names, Gulak or Nese would be likely to win, and go on to face Swann. WWE announced earlier today that Gulak and Nese will team up to face Ali and Alexander in a tag team match on WWE 205 Live tonight.
As noted, the winner of the Rich Swann match will go on to face Enzo Amore for the title.
