Rennes are seeking to sign Al-Ahli wide-man Ndombe Mubele in the coming days, despite the fact that he is currently with the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to multiple, reliable French media reports.

The 24 year old appears to be a priority for Rennes, with Head of Recruitment Jean-Luc Buisine having flown out to Gabon in an attempt to close a deal.

Mubele’s current deal with Qatari side Al-Ahli runs until 2020, he notably provided an assist in the 2-2 draw with the Ivory Coast.
