Former NXT Tag Team Championship holder Tommaso Ciampa of the group DIY has been injured during a show in Highland Heights, Kentucky. At the time that the injury occurred, DIY was wrestling Sanity. Ciampa made a dive onto the apron of the ring when he sustained a hit to the leg. The match was stopped and no one was declared a winner. NXT Takeover was set to show DIY wrestling for the Tag Team Championships against The Authors Of Pain.

Hideo Itami posted on his Twitter about his thoughts on his match against Bobby Rhode for the NXT Championship.
