According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, one of the major reasons WWE is going with a Triple Threat Match for The RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania 35 is because of a potentially high risk of injuries that could occur.
WWE Superstars are said to get hurt a lot more easily these days and because of that there is an added risk of more injuries occurring when booking longterm angles. WWE would then decide on going with a Triple Threat Match for The RAW Women’s Title between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair & RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey so that they could still do a Singles Match if one of the others would unfortunately suffer an injury. This was said to not be a major reason for going with a Triple Threat Match, but it was said to be one of the major reasons as there was also a fear of losing one of the participants.
This coming Sunday at WWE Fastlane, Becky Flair will be going one-on-one with Charlotte Flair. According to the stipulation, if Becky Lynch comes out on top then she will be added to The Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey Match at WrestleMania 35 to make it a Triple Threat Match. If Becky Lynch loses, then she will be “done” from The WWE, according to Stephanie McMahon. The Triple Threat Match has been the plan for a while now.
Speaking of Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair, the war of tweets between these three WWE Superstars continued this week after RAW & SmackDown LIVE went off the air, as seen in the tweets below. Monday’s episode of RAW would see Rousey destroy Lynch while taunting Flair. Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown LIVE would see Flair try to attack Lynch, but that backfired and Lynch was able to get the best of Flair. Lynch wrote the following on Twitter after the show, “Bruised ribs, bad knee, bad arm… still beat you. See you at Fastlane @MsCharlotteWWE”
As seen below, Rousey released a limited edition t-shirt that says, “Damn The Man. Screw The Woo. No More Mrs. Nice b—h,” on her official website.
