Kofi Kingston absolutely cannot catch a break, despite virtually every WWE fan on the planet backing the 11-year veteran in hopes of him being granted the world championship opportunity that he rightfully deserves.
Sunday night at WWE Fastlane, live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio the Chairman himself Vince McMahon was approached by all three members of The New Day, who once again pled their case for Kingston to be given a chance to fight for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
McMahon initially appeared to see reason, and announced that the Fastlane title match had been changed to a triple threat match, in which Daniel Bryan would defend his hemp-laden title against both Kevin Owens and, yes, Kofi Kingston.
However, when Kingston made his way down to the ring for his championship opportunity, the ring announcer informed everyone that It had been moved to later in the evening. Instead, the high-flying Superstar was forced into action against both members of The Bar, Cesaro and Sheamus, in a Tornado Handicap match, with the rest of the New Day explicitly banned from ringside.
