“I’m glad we won over one of the best teams in Europe” – said the player after a win over Skra Belchatow and having qualified to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
The second duel between Arkas Izmir and PGE Skra Belchatow ended with a victory of the Turkish team 3-2 and, according to the Champions League rules, the winner had to emerge at “golden set”. Izmir won 15-12 and in playoff 6 they will meet another Polish team – ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle, which won a duel over Noliko Maaseik.
Here are few words, that Liberman Agamez, the most efficient player of the game (with 29 points!), said about the whole match and the key to the win:
“Thanks God we were able to win. I’m a Catholic, I love God and he gives me the power to the best performance. I’m very excited. After all, Skra is a great team. The most important for me is the win and the qualification to the next round. We fought ‘till the end and it was the key to the victory in this match”.
How does he feel before the duels against ZAKSA?
“We don’t feel like we’re favorites. ZAKSA has a new, great coach and very good players, so we have to fight for the victory. If we don’t do our best, our 100%, we’ll lose easily”.
