EDMOND, Okla. – Southwest Minnesota State sophomore wrestler Kyle Begin is ranked No. 6 at 165 pounds in the latest NCAA Division II National Wrestling Coaches Association poll. The announcement came from the association on Wednesday.
Begin, a native of Anoka, Minn., makes his first appearance in the NCAA rankings this season. Begin is 27-7 and placed second at the NCAA Central Super Regional last weekend to qualify for his second consecutive NCAA tournament.
Justin Reinsma, a senior two-time All-American at 133 pounds, fell out of the rankings for the first time this season. Reinsma placed fourth at the NCAA Central Super Regional last weekend to qualify for his third consecutive NCAA tournament.
Begin and Reinsma along with teammates Jacob Begin and Cole Wilson will all compete at the NCAA tournament from March 14-15 in Cleveland, Ohio.
