There continues to be animosity building on social media over the use of the “4 Horsewomen” name within WWE.
What started as a tweet by artist Rob Schamberger to show off his painting of the “UFC 4 Horsewomen” – RAW Women’s Champ Ronda Rousey, NXT Women’s Champ Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir – for the WWE Canvas 2 Canvas series has become quite the storm brewing as members of the “original WWE 4 Horsewomen” – Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks – have not taken kindly to the use of the name. Flair, in particular, has issued a few tweets that have threatened all four of the UFC 4 Horsewomen.
As previously reported on AllWrestling.com, Baszler has responded that their group has a better claim to the name because they are all actually tight friends which represent the “OG 4 Horsemen” – Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson and Ole Anderson – more closely because Flair, Lynch, Banks and Bayley have all spent time bickering and fighting with one another. Flair tweeted Blanchard’s daughter, Tessa, an Impact Wrestling Knockouts star, about the situation and it didn’t seem the legacies took kindly to the new group.
In a response to some of Flair’s threats, the least publicized UFC 4 Horsewomen at this point of their careers – Duke and Shafir – responded to Flair’s tweets and a tweet from Becky Lynch where the SmackDown Women’s Champ pretended to not even know who they were.
