Injured Braun Strowman & Kurt Angle Lead RAW Roster In Assaulting Baron Corbin At WWE TLC

A major question heading into this weekend’s WWE TLC pay-per-view was the status of Braun Strowman, who recently underwent elbow surgery. The “Monster Among Men” was not expected to be fully cleared to compete, despite WWE going ahead with advertising him for a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match against Braun Strowman.

While acting-General Manager Corbin did attempt to win the bout via forfeit, as promised, Strowman ultimately answered the challenge and hit the ring with his massive arm in a sling. He then reminded everyone that their match had no disqualifications, inviting any member of the RAW roster that has a problem with Corbin becoming their full-time leader, to assist him in the ring.

Strowman’s call was answered by several RAW babyfaces including Finn Balor, Apollo Cruise, Chad Gable and Bobby Roode, who surrounded the ring with steel chairs and proceeded to beat Corbin silly. While he attempted to escape, a surprise appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle — who also happened to have a steel chair — returned him to the ring to face another onslaught.

In the end, an injured Braun pinned his opponent with a boot on his chest, scoring the victory without doing a single move, and officially earning his WWE Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.
