The OG pop-punk princess has finally gotten her happy ending, and we're screaming internally. After about a year of confirmed dating, Mod Sun proposed to Avril Lavigne on March 27 in pretty much the most romantic setting ever: on a boat floating down the Seine river in Paris with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower.
Eleven days after the proposal, the couple posted the engagement announcement to both of their individual Instagram accounts on April 7. Lavigne posted eight photos, the first featuring Mod Sun getting down on one knee, the rest consisting of selfies, shots of Lavigne showing off the ring (ahem, manicure), and even a photo of his neck tattoo of her name. They don't gotta convince us — their love is basically radiating from these images straight out of my phone.
But we don't know what's brighter: her heart-shaped engagement ring or her neon-orange manicure. She's been wearing these nails for a few weeks now, which seems super fitting because they match the orange highlights gracing her timeless blonde hair. The manicure appears to be gel or regular polish, seeing as her nails are short and square-shaped. The ring, though, features a large diamond with smaller ones lining the band. For makeup, she's wearing eyeliner with a baby wing and major false lashes. A classic Avril look.

"Oui!" the caption reads. "Je t'aime pour toujours 27. Mars. 2022." Roughly translating to "Yes! I love you forever," this pop-punk couple is giving us major relationship goals.
Contrary to the title of her latest album, Love Sux, we're glad to see that she doesn't think so anymore. The girl who did ballet has finally found her Sk8r Boi, and we couldn't be any happier for them. Now we have to hold out for the wedding, and we cannot wait for the edgy looks that they are bound to debut.
