Il n’aura pas fallu attendre longtemps avant de connaître la cause de la mort de Stefanie Sherk, l’épouse de l’acteur mexicain Demian Bichir. Ce 24 avril 2019, le comédien a lui-même annoncé la disparition tragique de sa compagne à seulement 43 ans. Selon les informations d’E! News publiées jeudi, l’actrice et mannequin s’est suicidée dans la piscine familiale le 12 avril dernier.
Le rapport médico-légal du comté de Los Angeles précise que Stefanie Sherk est morte asphyxiée après s’être noyée avec des poids. Même si les secours ont pu la réanimer et la transporter jusqu’à l’hôpital le plus proche, la Canadienne est décédée huit jours plus tard. Les conclusions de l’autopsie affirment donc qu’il s’agit d’un suicide.

Stefanie Sherk devait être à l’affiche du prochain film d’horreur Grudge. Elle avait notamment tourné sous la direction de son mari en 2016 pour son premier film en tant que réalisateur, Un Cuento de Circo & A Love Song. Ce dernier, nommé aux Oscars pour le film A Better Life, a joué dans La Nonne, Savages, Les Flingueuses, Machete Kills ou encore Alien: Covenant.

After 17 amazing years, wonderful Rudy advanced to a higher level of energy yesterday. @stefaniesherk was passing by a pet store and saw baby Rudy in a cage corner, rolled up. Her brothers and sisters were happily playing around her. When she asked about her she was told they couldn’t sell her because she was ill and most likely she would die soon. Stefanie then said, no, she won’t, she’s coming with me. Rudy proved everyone wrong over and over again throughout her amazing life. She was a spiritual healer and will be deeply missed. Only animal lovers understand the sorrow of losing such a formidable friend. So long, buddy.
