At the UFC Media Day on Friday in Boston, Massachusetts, which included the official UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou weigh-ins and the on-sale press conferences for UFC 222: Holloway vs. Edgar and UFC 223: Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov, UFC President Dana White gave some interesting comments about some current and former WWE Superstars possibly competing inside the Octagon in 2018.
When talking with TSN for an interview after the aforementioned three UFC events yesterday, the UFC boss was asked by an interviewer about the possibility of several top names competing inside the Octagon in 2018, such as Jon Jones, Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey.
When asked about the chances of Brock Lesnar and CM Punk competing in the UFC at some point in the calendar year, White said “Yes” to both. It’s worth noting that in each case he was given fantasy odds regarding the chances of either man fighting, and was given underdog odds in each case, but not long odds.
In any matter, it seems to indicate a few things, such as White’s interest level and/or willingness to book either man in another fight inside the Octagon.
