Contract Signing Announced For This Tuesday’s SmackDown LIVE

WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan will be defending his WWE Title against Kofi Kingston this coming Sunday night at WrestleMania 35 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. On this past week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, New Day Members Xavier Woods & Big E won a Gauntlet Match to finally get their New Day Brother Kofi Kingston a shot at The WWE Title.
While The New Day were celebrating in the ring, Kayla Braxton caught up with WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon just before he left the building. Vince was asked if Kofi was going to WrestleMania and he responded, “Yes. He’s going to WrestleMania. But the question is can a B+ player defeat Daniel Bryan for The WWE Championship?”
Even though the match is set for this coming Sunday’s WrestleMania, Kingston recently tweeted out that he would like to see something in writing to seal the deal. Shortly after that, WWE would announce that a contract signing between WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan & Kofi Kingston will be taking place on this Tuesday’s SmackDown LIVE.

Kofi wrote, “One week from today, I will be on the cusp of achieving my childhood dream, wrestling for the WWE title…(crazy to say that). Since a certain someone has made it impossible to trust him at his word, I’m gonna need to see something in writing. No more games.”
