Caribbean strap match, Baklei Brawl set for next two MLW Fusions

The next two weeks of MLW Fusion are going to be violent.

On next Wednesday’s show, Richard Holliday will face Savio Vega in a Caribbean strap match. Vega has been in pursuit of Holliday ever since he stole Vega’s prized Caribbean championship belt after defeating him on a January episode of Fusion. Since then, Holliday has declared himself the champion and the belt will be on the line next week.

Vega made the challenge on last night’s Fusion and said he will bring the strap he used in the 1996 WWF In Your House strap match with Steve Austin.

In two weeks, National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone will rematch with rival Mads Krugger in a Baklei Brawl, described as a bare knuckle, anything goes brawl with “origins in the South African underworld.” It’s unclear whether the title is on the line.

The two have been at odds since Krugger debuted on the first Fusion following November’s restart, attacking Hammerstone. They faced off at Kings of Colosseum which went to a double countout.

In three weeks, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor will debut Filthy Island which is still shrouded in mystery.
