Brock Lesnar’s Status For WWE Money in the Bank Revealed

Following his win over Roman Reigns at WWE Greatest Royal Rumble, speculation had been that Brock Lesnar would next be defending his Universal Title at WWE Money in the Bank in June.

As we noted last week,  Lesnar is not currently under contract for WWE SummerSlam this year, which further prompted speculation that Money in the Bank would be the most likely time for Lesnar to defend his title.

However, Dave Metlzer is now reporting via Wrestling Observer Radio that Brock Lesnar will not be working Money in the Bank next month, and as of now it remains unknown when Lesnar’s next title defense will take place.

After Raw last night, it seems as if WWE might be moving in the direction of Jinder Mahal vs Roman Reigns, which could delay a teased rematch between Lesnar and Reigns until a later date, possibly in July, or possibly at SummerSlam if Lesnar does work out a deal to remain with WWE until the big event in August.

WWE did tease, prior to Raw this week, that Reigns will be getting another shot at Brock Lesnar considering his Greatest Royal Rumble match, ended in controversy, but it seems as if Mahal might be a placeholder feud for Reigns until the company can lockdown plans for both him and Lesnar going forward.
