John Cena created and popularized the United States Title Open Challenge back in 2015, when he had several open challenge matches that were amongst the best matches Cena has had in his career. Cena faced opponents such as Kane, Zack Ryder, Stardust, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Neville, Sami Zayn and more. AJ Styles also briefly enlisted the U.S. Title Open Challenge when he held the Title, although it was short-lived.
