As previously reported, Daniel Bryan said that he was working on getting back to the ring. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Daniel Bryan underwent further testing in April and while the results are unknown, it’s possible that the results may have encouraged him to work on getting back to the ring. 
Despite how the testing went, WWE Lead Physician Dr. Joseph Maroon is unlikely to change his mind about Bryan wrestling again and Vince McMahon won’t go against him. There is also the complicating factor that WWE is embroiled in several ongoing lawsuits involving their former talent and concussions.
So if ever he does decide to wrestle again he will likely wrestle with another promotion. Because he has a better chance of being cleared to return to the ring in other promotions as he does in WWE. Bryan’s contract with WWE is reportedly expiring next summer, so there is a big chance that he will indeed move to another promotion.
