AEW Women's Tag Team Cup rules, start date announced

A week after announcing the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup tournament, the company laid out the “Deadly Draw” rules and format on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

The tourney will also begin on their YouTube channel this Monday at 7 PM.

The tournament will feature eight teams, all chosen via a random draw.
The sixteen female competitors will each draw a color with those drawing matching colors paired up.
The selections are final and can’t be appealed.

Backstage, former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose, flanked by manager Vickie Guerrero, was seen making the first choice, drawing purple. Dasha Gonzalez then said they had the other person there who had drawn purple: Ariana Andrew, the former Cameron in WWE.

The 32-year-old has been out of wrestling since being released by WWE in 2016 after five years on both the main roster and NXT.
