According to Showbuzz Daily, last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown drew an average of 2.717 million viewers, a huge rise from last week’s go-home edition for Super ShowDown. The blue-brand once again topped the night in the always important 18-49 demographic with a rating of 0.8. The drop from hour one to hour two wasn’t as dramatic as it usually is, indicating that fans were interested in the return of John Cena, who was challenged by The Fiend for a WrestleMania 36 showdown.

The program finished eight overall behind the normal Friday night lineup of MacGyver, Blue Bloods, Shark Tank, 20/20, Lincoln Rhyme, Dateline, and Hawaii Five-O, which topped the night at just 6.8 million viewers.

Full ratings will be out on Monday.
