The #4 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (15-1, 4-0 NSIC) extended its current dual match win streak to eight with a convincing 39-6 victory at conference rival University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The Huskies opened the match with six points after Tanner Johnshoy gained a forfeit win at 125-pounds. SCSU extended its lead to 12-0 with a pin by #2 ranked Andy Pokorny at 133-pounds. #4 ranked Matt Nelson extended the Huskies’ lead to 17-0 with a technical fall at 6:11.

SCSU’s Jay Hildreth scored a 5-2 win at 149-pounds and then #5 ranked Clint Poster pinned Mary’s Brandon DeLao at 6:26 to push SCSU’s lead to 26-0.

Gabe Fogarty suffered a 6-4 loss at 165-pounds but Clayton Jennissen got the Huskies back on track with a 6-2 win at 174-pounds. Dylon Braun added a major decision win for the Huskies at 184-pounds and Uthman Rabiu gained six more points with a forfeit victory at 197-pounds. The day was completed by Jonah Westbury of Mary posting a 3-1 OT win over SCSU’s Luke Belich.
