Ultimate Deletion News, XFL Has Competition, Update on Bigelow

At the end of Raw last night, WWE aired the very special Ultimate Deletion match between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt from the Hardy Compound. PWInsider has just released some interesting details concerning the match. First off, the match was not shown to the live crowd in Dallas last night. They watched a few dark matches instead. Wyatt and Hardy were also backstage for the show last night despite the fact that their match was taped a week ago. Michael Hayes is being credited as the producer for the match, but Jeremy Borash and Reby Hardy were also involved in the production. Lastly, as far as Brother Nero goes, Jeff Hardy is just waiting to get cleared to return to the ring at the moment.
One of the most shocking announcements of the year came back in January when Vince McMahon confirmed that he will be relaunching the XFL in 2020. Vince was inspired to resurrect the football league after the 30 for 30 special on the XFL’s previous stint aired on ESPN. It turns out now that Charlie Ebersol, the director of the aforementioned documentary, has decided to launch his own football league. Unlike when Charlie’s father worked for the XFL, the Ebersol family will now be competing against the relaunched XFL when it debuts one week after the Super Bowl in 2019. When Brad Shepard of Bodyslam.net released a list of the names scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for this year, all of them were eventually revealed to be entrants. The only rumored person who will not be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year after all is Bam Bam Bigelow. Shepard has now said that his source in WWE informed him that changes were made to the Hall of Fame this year to include other entrants and that Bigelow’s induction into the Hall of Fame has been pushed back. It seems likely that Bigelow could be inducted during next year’s Hall of Fame instead since the ceremony will be taking place in his homes state of New Jersey.
