WrestleMania will be taking place this weekend and the show features a stacked card with two different battle royals occurring during the Kickoff show. The annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will return for the fifth year in a row, and the female competitors will have their own battle royal this year as well. A few participants have already been confirmed for both matches, but WWE just announced that Kane, Aiden English, Curt Hawkins, Shelton Benjamin, and Chad Gable will be joining the Andre the Gian Memorial Battle Royal. The company also just recently confirmed that Dana Brooke will be competing in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal this Sunday as well.
With all of the news relating to the possible WrestleMania match between John Cena vs. The Undertaker hitting this week, it was easy to forget about John Cena’s newest film being released. Cena stars in a new comedy movie from Universal Pictures called Blockers, which was officially released in theaters today. The film, which is about a group of concerned parents attempting to prevent their daughters from losing their virginity during their prom night, has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences so far. PWInsider has also reported that the new movie starring the WWE Superstar features one more scene right after the ending credits finish.
It may be a bit surprising to learn that “The Drifter” Elias does not have a match set for WrestleMania at the moment. He has promised to give “the performance of a lifetime” during the event, and rumors of him being involved in an angle or being revealed as Braun Strowman’s tag team partner during the event have surfaced lately. Before the show takes place, Elias made his presence felt in New Orleans when he made a surprise appearance at the Razzoo Bar on Bourbon Street. The audience was surprise to see him and they all joined him in a rendition of “Drift Away” as well. It will be interesting to see what Elias has in store for the fans in attendance at WrestleMania this Sunday night.
