Back Injury May Force Seth Rollins to Miss Elimination Chamber

On Tuesday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the impression given to him was that Seth Rollins was going to be in a match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

“Seth Rollins has a bad back. He was off TV [this week],” Meltzer said on WOR. “They’re gonna rest him up. I was told it’s not WrestleMania threatening. He may not be on the next pay-per-view, that I don’t know because the pay-per-view is in a couple of weeks. No one told me this directly so this may not be correct … but my impression was that they were gonna do McIntyre and Corbin against Strowman and Seth at the pay-per-view and maybe the Kurt thing [is a] replacement this week.”
There’s just a couple of weeks left for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and Rollins is not scheduled to be at Raw or live events for a few weeks so it seems unlikely that he will wrestle on that show. Obviously, everyone involved is going to be careful since the Rollins/Lesnar match is being billed as one of the main events for WrestleMania so it makes sense to give him time off rather than risk making his back injury worse by keeping him on the road.
