Mankato, Minn. — On the cusp of the 2019 postseason, the Minnesota State wrestling team is rated 17th in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 Poll.

The Mavericks, who completed the 2018-19 regular season with a 9-2 mark in dual action and finished second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with a 7-1 league record, have four individuals who are ranked in their respective individual classes.

Sophomore Kyle Rathman (149), who has fashioned a 13-2 record this season, is rated third nationally.

A returning All-American who placed second at nationals last year, senior George Farmah (St. Paul, Minn.), is rated #7 at 133. Farmah owns an 8-2 record for 2018-19.

Junior Andrew McFall (125) has posted a 9-3 mark this year and enters regional action rated #11.

Junior Zach Johnston (174), who earned All-American honors last year with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA DII national championship meet, is ranked 12th and stands 11-4 for the year.

Minnesota State competes at the 2018-19 NCAA Division II Central Regional in Moorhead, Minn., on Saturday.
