The first batch of the ‘Special Rhino Protection Force’ a dedicated unit to safeguard the endangered one-horned rhinos has been deployed in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam.

The first batch, comprising of 82 constables, including eight women, assumed office on Monday, days after a ceremonial passing out parade at the 9th Assam Police Battalion (APBN), Berhampur, Nagaon.
