A 12-year-old girl was sexually abused for over two years by 30 people, including her father. The incident came to light in Kerala’s Malappuram. The girl is a Class 7 student.

Locals alerted the Parents’ Teachers’ Association members of the school where she was studying and the teachers started noticing that she was constantly missing her classes. Soon, the information was handed over to child-line authorities.

When volunteers at the child-line counselled the minor, she revealed horrific details of sexual harassment.

“In connection with the incident, Tirurangadi police have charged case under various sections of Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and took two persons, including the girl’s father,” said a report by The Times of India.
